Paediatric Physiotherapist

Paediatric Physiotherapist who has worked in the field of paediatrics, disability and early childhood intervention (ECI) for 30+ years.  Special interests include postural care and best practice in ECI, particularly coaching, routines-based model of ECI and the importance of family relationships and interactions. 

 

Currently co-Director of Postural Care Australia, Board member of PRECI (Professionals and Researchers in ECI) and employed as Assistant Director Early Childhood Services Branch at the NDIA.  

 

Co-authored a chapter in ‘Early Childhood Intervention – Working with families of young children with special needs’ (2017) Editors:  Carl Dunst and Hanan Sukkar. Currently completing a systematic review on the effectiveness of context-based early childhood intervention.

 

Has presented nationally and internationally on Postural Care and Best Practice and worked with professionals and carers (trained and untrained) to implement postural care for children with physical disabilities as well as best practice early childhood intervention in St Petersburg Russia and Ukraine.
